Installing a Linux Distro onto a Chromebook. Preferably Ubuntu or Mint, with the actual GUI, so I can open a terminal when I need to.
Using Crouton? Most instructions I find use the Chrome shell and crouton. Crouton is apparently outdated. Either way, commands like apt-get
or yum
do not work.
Developer’s Mode? I have that activated! Currently, I have Linux in a container using Crostini. I don’t want the container, but the actual OS.
